Duh: Judd Gregg Quotes Judd Gregg To Swipe At Palin

By
March 14, 2011

This is the headline for a piece at the Hill.

GREGG: Sadly, the primary process might help Sarah Palin

And this is the byline. By Judd Gregg – 03/13/11 02:46 PM ET

 More via Liberty Pundits.

What kind of idiot would do that? Most likely, it was an editor desperate for some of the traffic from the Palin swipe. Still, it plays like one of the dumbest headlines I've ever seen,  inadvertantly reflecting poorly on Gregg. That's assuming he didn't write it himself, which would be even worse.

If these are the smart ones, Palin better run, after all. Next, Hill writers will be talking to themselves to improve their pull quotes.

Wasn’t this is the guy who took a position with the Obama admin. only to later not take the position with the Obama admin. over irresolvable differrnces…..
..Yep ..this is someone to listen to…

..Yep ..this is someone to listen to..
    ..sorry for my typos…
    ..does this clear it up?

i got you the first time, and agreed with the sentiment.
(the thought of myself, complaining about coherency or grammer of others is unsettling.)

  4. mark l. says:

the question that i want put to EVERY alleged conservative critic of palin…
[if she gets the nomination, will you vote for her, obama, or stay home?]
    george will?
    “unelectable”?
would it be fair for a person to state how they know their countrymen will vote, but refuse to give their own ‘precise’ decision in the matter?
if someone wants to make the case that they would vote for a gop candidate, but not palin, i’d love to hear the argument…

  5. D. says:

And the obvious reply is; “Who cares what Gregg thinks or says?”
    Palin 2012!

  6. fb274 says:

A great fear of the elite country club republicans is that Gov. Sarah PALIN will pull no punches when naming names of the corrupt in the Republican Party. This is why so many are trying to disenfranchise her before the primaries. Once she will announce, there would be no stopping her. The “unwashed masses” as so many have been called will be backing her!

  7. jakee308 says:

“I think Newt’s recent embarrassing “confession” that his love of country caused him to cheat on his wife is proof of his lack of judgment and character. (plus he sounds like a lying dirt weasel like John Edwards)” Comment by jakee308
THIS JUST IN: Some in the blogosphere think that Newt Gingrich is a “lying dirt weasel”.
Hey we’re the NEW MEDIA but we can learn old tricks too!
P.S. Newt Gingrich did sound like a lying dirt weasel in his statement about being “driven by how passionately I felt about this country” made him cheat on his wife.
yeah this is a guy I WANT in the White House. NOT!!

  8. Susie Q says:

How many of these people that are bashing Palin are doing it with the explicit backing of other potential candidates? Romney, Newt, Huckabee? This is just the underhanded kind of crap they would embrace.
    It won’t work.

“How many of these people that are bashing Palin are doing it with the explicit backing of other potential candidates?”
while not a precise number, rassmussen has some guidance…

palin, at this one point, held 64% of the gop, in regards to the nomination, with 91% favorability. not sure what mccain’s numbers were, but i would be shocked to see him with more than 65% favorability.
at the same time…romney 11%(81% fav), huckabee 12%(80% favorability).
the sniping comes from somewhere in the 36% who did not wish to see her as the NEXT nominee, which is a minority of the gop,and which gets a further breakdown per above link which provides that 20% of the gop believed she hurt mccain.
this 20% is largely calling the shots for the gop, and has been doing so for quite some time.

  10. gary gulrud says:

The query the Elites never answer: If not Palin who? Who is electable being as conservative or more so, both socially, fiscally and exceptionally foreign policy-wise?
Because they have nothing, zero, nada.
