Robert Reich to the twittersphere: “Put Fox out of biz”
"People are moving away from Obamanomics, they're moving away from Reichonomics and they're moving towards Kudlow/Moore-onomics, and that's really shown by those population shifts" from north to south, free marketer Steve Moore (right) told tax-the-rich class warrior Robert Reich (left) on The Kudlow Report last night. "If you look at the new Rust Belt, it's not the Midwest. [It's] those New England and northeastern states … the kind of epicenter of liberalism."

"FCC: Stop tinkering with Internet and return to the 'fairness doctrine' requiring broadcasters to provide equal time. Put Fox out of biz," twittered President Clinton's Labor Secretary Robert Reich this morning. Horrified, we twittered back:
Is that you, Big Bro? How is it the business of a govt that works for me to put my fave TV station out of business?
"Astonishing how shameless our homegrown totalitarians are in tweeting their desire to repress free speech," we twittered Reuters Money and Politics columnist James Pethokoukis, who replied:
Agree … I am actually surprised though I probably shouldnt be …

The irony is that Fox News would probably be happy to put Robert Reich on the air to voice his opinion to millions of people if he just asked O’Reilly or one of the other pundits for a forum. He has a high enough profile (despite his height, or lack thereof) that he can get on TV whenever he wants.
Liberals don’t really care about free speech, and they prove it in so many ways. Reich has a Napoleon complex. He has never gotten over the frustration that his feet don’t touch the ground when he sits in a chair.
chances of the fcc regulating cable…nil.
chances of fox news being able to sell their channel, exclusively, increasing murdoch’s income and power significantly, IF the fcc forces his hand…quite good.
once it becomes an issue of free choice, much akin to a subscription to the national review or nation, the issue would be resolved, AND it would drastically weaken liberal cable news networks.
sometimes i think that the only thing that keeps liberlalism from being completely eradicated is that the conservatives stand in their way, limiting their stupidity. In two short years they have done more damage to the overall democrat party than ANY effort undertaken by the gop.
Take a hike, Shorty!
“sometimes i think that the only thing that keeps liberlalism from being completely eradicated is that the conservatives stand in their way, limiting their stupidity. In two short years they have done more damage to the overall democrat party than ANY effort undertaken by the gop.”
This right here.
Luckily the last barrier to that will be removed no later than January 2013.
What a huge lust for power this fool has…
Raqs: “What a huge lust for power this fool has…”
Napolean complex.
Fascist leftists want to control information flows because they know what’s best… it’s for our own good of course.
“What a huge lust for power this fool has…”
occassional respect for reich, and willing to listen to what he has to say, but…
in this case, he falls into the same liberal pattern. one step thought process, without seeing the next move. it’s like watching them play chess, without any consideration of the other pieces that are out there and assuming that if they move the pieces towards the goal, they are winning.
if reich was looking for power, he really isn’t the type of guy who knows what he is looking for…which is my problem with the entire vast left wing conspiracy found on beck:
organized? only relatively.
visionary, bound by their ability to implement(and pay for it?) not a chance.
they are incapable of constructing anything of legitimate permanence. I have a hard time taking them seriously.
Um…Mark…you’re gonna want to read up on the FCC power grab and Sharpton’s plans for talk radio.
“Sharpton’s plans for talk radio…”
smear himself in his own poop, and tell a black mob that rush limbaugh raped him?
lead a boycott and a mob against a radio station and have it burned down?
the fact that the left is incapable of governing, let alone distancing themselves from a certifed as*clown speaks volumes.
follow the regression…mlk, jesse jackson, and now, sharpton.
and libs think palin is dead weight…
*********************************
the radio issue is another argument, which is just as ludicrous, but a different tact. the reasons that the libs might offer to tinker with the fairness doctrine in radio do not apply to cable tv.
My response to the idiot
@RBReich If the FCC returns to the “fairness” doctrine, ABCCBSNBCCNNNPR will all be like FOX, but if you so please, lets do it!
RESTORE THE FAIRNESS DOCTRINE! I demand to hear Rush on NPR stations!
