Dear David Frum: It’s time to begin thinking seriously
By Sissy Willis of sisu
"It's time to begin thinking seriously about an appropriate national commemoration of this good man and great president" on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan's birth next February 6, writes Northeast Corridor Conservative opinionator David Frum (h/t Desert Gardens on Twitter). BEGIN thinking seriously? We stopped right there and twittered back …

Hmmmmm.
There are no words to describe my distaste for this person.
I can’t stand Frum.
I don’t see the justification for bashing him like this, though. He’s right we should commemorate Reagan. Saying ‘oh, but you’re not saying that as good as I am!’ is incredibly lame.
Reagan appealed to a lot of liberals and democrats, too. He was their president too. He kept them save from the Soviets too. He saved them from Carter’s malaise too.
We don’t have to be purists about Reagan. Frum can be criticized very well without this silliness.
Lamely limping here on arthritic knee. I am so tired of being accused of being a purist. “This silliness”? Whassat?
This Frump fellow, isn’t he Rick Moran’s boyfriend?
We’ll need another Reagan in 2012.
Zogby’s latest polls have Obama losing or within the margin of error to pretty much everyone on the GOP list, so whomever we do select needs to be an excellent candidate.
Obama doesn’t get more than 41% of the vote. As an incumbent it means he’s done.
Start thinking about a lot of things in 2011, beginning with the GOP primary.
amen and if we vote for palin the left are insisting the terrorists will come in over the sealed border and kill us all which is rich since they grant asylum to said terrorists and are responsible for our anemic borders
Attended a conference that had Frum along with Buckley’s brother Reid on a program I mistakenly attended. Both were dazzlingly full of BS….it was difficult to resist my urge to throttle the pricks. Reid reading some of Bill Buckley’s drunken writings was bad enough but the snooty patootie expressions on Frum face and his spoken idiotcy were worst than Obama’s.
exactly tammy and how exactly do the left get off calling palin woefully unqualified?
So this “good man and great president” is the same guy who sold weapons to Iran? Supported terrorists in South America? Pulled out of Lebanon after a terrorist attack thus emboldening terrorists world wide? Who consulted an astrologer on policy? Who thought that “trickle down” economics was a solution?
Of course Ronnie had his successes, he smacked Libya just right and he knew how to stand back and let the Soviet Union collapse under it’s own retardation.
I know, he said that speech and then something in that speech happened but it wasn’t because of that speech, things are a wee bit more complex in real life.
It’s funny how wingnuts never see the whole picture about anything, it’s always anything you like is all good and anything you don’t like is all bad.
irony thy name is salvage[in regards to supporting terrorists abroad]
the snooty patootie expressions on Frum face and his spoken idiotcy were worst than Obama’s.
