Meltdown: Fox Didn’t Mention Sherrod Story Before She Resigned?
If this is accurate, then the whole blame Fox nonsense would simply be a myth. Sherrod specifically accused Fox of racism. If Doocy is right, based upon what did she make that charge? Thin air?
“There’s a timeline problem,” Doocy pointed out, noting that the NAACP had on Monday night denounced Sherrod as “shameful,” the same day that she was pressured to quit her job (she says by the White House). But Fox News never mentioned the story until after Sherrod had quit. “So for anybody to say that Fox News pressured her out, that is simply a lie,” Doocy asserted.
What I saw on Beck yesterday was Ms. Sherrod saying that she was threatened that the story would be on Fox, as an excuse to get her to quit.
She was on the road, got calls to her cell phone, was told she needed to quit because the story was gonna be on Glenn Beck. IOW…the USDA used the threat of Fox, the threat of Beck, to pressure her to quit.
TOO funny that when Beck finally DID mention her, it was to say we needed more context, and she probably should not lose her job. He supported HER.
I’m not holding my breath for the truth to come out on that.

I recall O’Reilly (whose show is prerecorded) briefly mentioning it toward the end of his show and saying that she should be fired. About five minutes later, maybe ten at the most, Fox reported that Sherrod had been forced to resign.
So yeah, the idea that Fox pushed it in any way is just bogus. The White House threw her under the bus because they were terrified of a racial controversy in light of how whites are already deserting Obama in droves.

She’s an old leftist hack, her husband worked with Bill Ayers in the 1960s, and she’s been the recipient of a few hundred grand in taxpayer money settling lawsuits against the government for racism.. in fact, she was suing the USDA, and was hired by them last year, DAYS after the settlement of $300k for her and her husband.

Before ranting keep in mind, Beck and Hannity are not news shows. They are what they advertise themselves to be, opinion journalism.
You people don’t like Fox News because they don’t exist in the progressive echo chamber of deceit and corruption. Fox News IS fair and balanced, openly so. Progressives control all television news media but Fox. Movements with tyrannical ambitions can’t afford for even one outlet to stray from the narrative. Hence the rage toward that which shines a light on the dark stench that is progressive-ism.
