Scott Brown Stupid

By
March 24, 2010

Only the media, Democrats (redundant, I know) and myopic conservatives would think Scott Brown's win is now a minus for Republicans, somehow. As if HCR wouldn't have passed if Dems held 60 seats.

Hey, he's still doing better than Mary Jo, who sat in a "Kennedy seat" on the last car ride of her life. If he can represent Mass and get re-elected as a Republican, people should have no bitch with having supported him.

Republican folk hero Sen. Scott Brown is being taunted by triumphant Democrats – and slammed by irked conservatives – after the historic health-care bill he was elected to kill was signed into law by President Obama yesterday.

i expect the press to come up with even more birdcage liner now that we have the most perfect awesome healthcare system in the world. its not like they can cover: the war, the economy, global warming, and now healthcare without hurting the dems no matter how much they spin it. i am waiting for the ap to redeploy 47 reporters to alaska to make sure that palin has not thrown a plastic spoon in the trash instead of putting it in the recylce bin.

as it relates to the health care bill and debates who is slamming Brown from the right ?
someone please list them so I can be sure to not frequent their blog, articles or publications … I don’t have time read anyone on the right who is that stupid or looking that hard for Hupo or Kos links …

If I were the Dems, I’d be far more worried about how the GOP will continue to shut down all Senate business after 2 PM and prevent anything from getting done.
Put repeal up for a vote and repeal it. Or you don’t get your Senate back.
We WILL be heard. You have no choice.

Scott stood up and was counted. In the hour of darkness, he stood with the light.
    Nuff said.

  5. alanstorm says:

Wait a sec, did I miss something? IIRC, the Senate passed its version of this used-food sandwich back in late December (back in ’63…sorry, musical segue). How, exactly, was someone elected to the Senate AFTER that date supposed to prevent the HOUSE from passing its version?
Only if you apply DemocRat logic could that made sense.

  6. Ad rem says:

Birdliner? I wouldn’t force the poor bird to stand up to his ankles, or should I say hocks, in that crap.

  7. Terrye says:

How could a win backfire? If Scott Brown had been in the Senate back in the days of the cornhusker kickback debacle, he could have killed it right then and there. There never would have been a Senate bill for the House to vote on. And what is more, if they want to use reconciliation for bills like this, having Scot Brown lose the election would not have stopped them either in the long run if that is what they were determined to do.

  8. JayJay says:

Personally think they are still licking their wounds over losing that seat and will try to marginalize him as much as they can. He has voted with the Dems but I am sure they know they can’t depend on him in the really important issues and just the R after his name is a thorn in their side. Although the election of Brown and the Nov elections are rather far apart, it is still seen by some as scale tipping in many respects and they don’t want to let it gain any momentum if possible.

still light years better than chaffee.

  10. astonerii says:

Then again, if he helps McCain win reelection in November, I would say it was a net negative.

  11. Iconoclast says:

I find it mighty amusing to read the libtard lunacy on this. Like Brown *HAD* a vote on this? The very fact he was elected forced them to resort to the overtly unconstitutional contortions by which they eked out passage. I know they want to destroy the Constitution, but having Senators vote in the House might be too much for even pelosi to tolerate.
