Dems Have Only Themselves To Blame For Threats

By
March 24, 2010

No one should seriously enjoy seeing this type of thing going on. Though, I'd add, the Netroots crowd would have absolutely no problem with this were the shoe on the other foot. But it's not. It's on theirs.

After years of falsely characterizing former President Bush as a tyrant, they've let slip the mask and America can see with their own eyes who the real tyrants are. And what is it the Democrats expected after forcing America to take that all in? Flowers? Champagne? It was only ever your celebration, not America's – but it was America you were only pretending to represent. So, to hell with you crooks, you Constitutional criminals. And that's precisely what you are, now.

They have no right to feel outraged, these Democrats, after having spent weeks and months fueling outrage across America with the corrupt back room deals, their reconciliation plans and slippery bookkeeping, coupled with an absolute refusal to take the voice of the people into account in passing vile, un-American legislation America doesn't want. Shame on them. Shame!

And now, what? These malignant little tyrants want to play the victim? After victimizing America with their pathetic antics, their corrupt practices, all to push a destructive ideology America has long rejected? The Democrats are the real criminals here. They have torn the fabric of America with a repulsive world view they now hope to thrust upon the American people, whether we like it, or not.

And the American people are beginning to say Not! – which is their God given right their Constitution, not some low rent, half-baked excuse for a politician, ensures for them. You broke it, the public trust, among other things. And now you've bought it. So, own it for once you miserable little cretins. Resign your offices and crawl back under your rocks if you can't take the heat that you and no one else generated. And don't expect us to feel sorry for you, or respect you for the wrath you're now faced with confronting. That may be the only thing you actually deserve for the unjust and un-democratic way in which you've comported yourselves throughout this entire charade.

You can choke on it and rot in hell where you belong after wards for all I care. You behaved like tyrants and now some few are treating you like tyrants. Where in the hell is the big surprise in that? Because I can't find it. All I see is a bunch of miserable creatures unworthy of the offices they hold. And I can't wait to see your sorry asses thrown out of them come this fall. Boo freakin' hoo, too frickin' bad!

Washington (CNN) — House Democrats are concerned about their security due to increased threats since Sunday's vote to pass the health care bill, House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said Wednesday.

Hoyer told a news conference that "a significant number, meaning over 10," had reported either threats, vandalism or other incidents. Capitol Police officials have briefed House Democrats on reporting suspicious or threatening activity and taking precautions to avoid "subjecting themselves or their families to physical harm," said Hoyer, D-Maryland.

these dem/socialist politicans must have missed the history lesson of what Americans due to politicans that step over the line. there was that whole tar and feathering thing.
yes now we usally use the ballot box and I hope that Amricans will have enough restraint to wait till Nov but the dems have to understand america is close to a breaking point. For the first time in my life i am embarassed to have these low lifes represent me.

  3. Rick Caird says:

The House Democrats used legislative violence (threats, bribes, and sheer force) to get their way. It is adorable to see Hoyer now complain about threats of violence against those same Democrats. Sauce, goose, gander.
I saw the picture of Pelosi, Hoyer, and other Democrats walking back to the House after their caucus. There really was no need to flaunt their arrogance.
Dan is right. After years of the same kinds of threats from the left (none of which do I recall Hoyer denouncing), the crocodile tears are pathetic.

  4. FenelonSpoke says:

I have a feeling that the people will be pushed too far and that in addition agent provocateurs will commit acts of violence which they will blame on “tea baggers”. This will then give Obama an excuse to declare martial law, shut down the internet, declare martial law and cancel the November elections. Some people may say I’m wearing a tinfoil hat, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if that’s what happens.

  5. Dan Riehl says:

I’ve cleaned up two comments. I’m commenting on alleged potential violence and it doesn’t thrill me. I do not want such things going on in American politics. And I don’t want comments talking about guns and violence or granades or whatever on my site.
Please respect that and vent your emotions as you will. But leave it at emotion. I’ll accept no talk of outright violence on the part of commenters here. So, please respect that.

  6. mark l. says:

forgive me if I express an equivalent amount of remorse as the left demonstrated over the Iraqi journalist/shoe tosser and bush.
    none.
if anyone out there is dreaming of hitting pelosi in the face with their shoe, be advised:
if on a jury, I will vote to convict, without remorse.
if i’m sitting at home though, I’ll probably be incapacitated from laughter and my dvr will be hermetically sealed.
    *******************
the dems are completely falling apart. every day that individuals hear about how something is wrong with the bill, call YOUR representative, IF they voted for it, and ask them to explain.
I caught anthony wiener on o’reilly…
he’s a lib and he is cracking up. he looked like he was sufferring battle fatigue, to a point of which placing him on the front lines would present a hazard to the others in the same foxhole. the moderates are probably even more inconsolable.
we lost one battle, but we are absoutely crushing them in this war.
ex. not one gop rep was damaged by the vote. 50-80 house reps on the dem side are bleeding voters, profusely.
don’t go any further on the intensity gap, but what people are doing right now?
KEEP IT UP. CALL THEM EVERY DAY.

  7. Mark in flyover country says:

Given the democrats’ record of lying and deception in the passage of this bill it wouldn’t surprise me at all to find out that they’re either behind some of this or making it up. Kind of like the alleged racial insults this past weekend. They’re trying to play the victim card but they have zero credibility.

To the contrary. It was celebrated by the whole libturd nation. Even a chunk of MSM got giddy with it.

  10. Whippet says:

Why would anyone be surprised? Dems play the victim all the time and define any criminal or criminal activity as being the result of victimization. They’re going to be the victims this fall though…the victims of their own corrupt, unconstitutional, tyrannical and self indulgent actions. Of course that won’t be the victim card they play when it happens but anyone with half a brain knows differently.

  11. Firehand says:

As I recall, when that moron Baldwin said Henry Hyde and family should be dragged into the street and stoned to death, these bastards cheered and laughed and encouraged him.

LMAO. Whatsa matter? Can’t take a little Chicago-style thuggery?????
I wouldn’t be surprised if they paid other radicals to do these things so they could continue the meme that conservatives are “terrorists.”

  13. Whippet says:

What a bunch of little girls….do you ever remember Bush or Cheney whining about all of the threats they received? Most of them paraded in front of them on the nightly news for years? Many of those threats coming from some in the press corps? Not one word…but the dems…..someone must have hurt der wittle feewings…..

  14. Less says:

    Dan -
I know you’re not a Beck fan, but today he sort of put things together in an interesting way, addressing what you’re talking about…the reports of violence from the Tea Party folk. I think it might be worth your time just to see how he brings things together.
A quote form the conclusion: They have dropped the radical pose for the radical ends, and they are making you the radical.
It was his opening monologue on both radio and TV, the radio one is available here http://www.glennbeck.com/content/articles/article/198/38365/, I’m just watching the TV version now on my DVR and it’s even more well put-together, I think there’s a rebroadcast sometime later.
    Just food for thought.

  15. JLancaster says:

These people are domestic, economic terrorists, and they have the nerve to ask for protection. We are the ones that need the protection of our military, and Supreme Court. You, and your ilk Mr. Hoyer are the criminals. By the way, where are Obama’s papers, bc and school records? Come on, you know he isn’t American. He’s Indonesian. You are a traitor. I hope you are forever afraid. Ask your friend Barry, how the Federal Judge felt, when his friend Ayers set the bomb outside of his house. Ask him how the families of the police officers felt when they were killed by Obama’s friend Ayers and his ilk. Ask them at the Pentagon how they felt, when Ayers bombed that? Scared probably. Karma will eventually catch up with all of you.
WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TOYING WITH THE HEALTH CARE OF 300 MILLION AMERICANS? YOU’RE ALL MENTAL CASES.

A great many of us, I figure, will simply look the other way.

in all honesty, I laughed too.

he was actually ready to throw down…he moved towards his ‘assailant’.
if he got hit, or was caught grabbing the nearest iraqi child as a human shield, it might have evoked a different rxn.

  19. mark l. says:

“….do you ever remember Bush or Cheney whining about all of the threats they received?”
    actually, no.
i imagine if you had a specific example in mind, it would be easy to provide a link…hint, hint.
i guess if you are referring to all those code oranges, you might have your example, but I doubt that’s what you meant.

  20. mark l. says:

    oops, again.
sorry whippet, ignore my last two sentences…

There is nothing wrong with leaning into them. I do not support any death threats, or threats to their families. We aren’t animals. Leave that kind of crazy to the lefties. But photos, videos, protesting on their streets, even locking arms and refusing to let them into local offices would work. Just remember, when the cops show up and ask you to disperse, do so, with a smile and a handshake. Those poor guys are going to be under a lot of pressure from their politically connected bosses.
There are tons of things you can do that isn’t illegal or over the top. I love the silver coin gift. Just walk up, give them a silver coin and say, “you must have dropped this, when you were selling us out.”
Again, I suggest “locking out” any representative from services he might get in his home town. No service at restaurants, dry cleaners, car repair, etc. Remember they just screwed over the small businessmen to the point they may have very well ruined many. Why give them the time of day? Even the doctor should call them and cancel the service. Obviously, the representative voted with a man who thinks that doctors are some kind of monsters.
    Just thinking out loud.

  23. Tully says:

My immediate response to the victimhood whining today was “What a bunch of ****ing wussies.”

  24. Jamie says:

Dan, the fact that you had to delete posts threatening violence really should inform you that the right wing has lost its mind. NOT because of anything that the Democrats have done, but from YEARS of hate-mongering and fear-mongering by the right wing media –who not coincidentally make big money off of whipping people into a frenzy. The more angry and frightened they can make people, the higher their ratings, the bigger their book sales. It’s a cynical game that is turning very, very dangerous.

  25. Whippet says:

    mark,
    no problem.
Remember Cindy Sheehan camping out at the Bush Ranch forever? He went about his life pretty much ignoring the whole show with a smile on his face…he understood the right to free speech. To Democrats, free speech is the real terrorism…unless it’s their free speech.
And now they’re running scared and calling in the FBI? LOL! Chickens is what they are just like all thug dictators. Sadaam Hussein would think nothing of torturing a family member let alone a stranger but when someone is after him what’s he doing? Hiding in a hole in the ground probably messing himself.
The Democrats are tossing away the constitution and they’ve got their panties in a wad because the public is mad at them? What did they expect? I know the loving adulation they’ve always received from their ranks. But they’ve gone way to far this time. Their own are now turning on them too. It’s a beautiful thing to watch. Can’t wait to see them all leave Washington after November! We should all throw them a huge pitty party with hankies for the trip home.

  26. “My immediate response to the victimhood whining today was ‘What a bunch of ****ing wussies.’”
And right on cue, here came Jamie Lynn.
“Dan, the fact that you had to delete posts threatening violence really should inform you that the right wing has lost its mind. NOT because of anything that the Democrats have done,”
Yeah, Jamie Lynn? We’ve all read here some of the crap that you, and Roberta, and MykkiNoSense, and Patricia Bateman, and our old mall-cop friend Paul Blart used to spew. And now you wanna go and hide behind big Uncle Sugar because some of us on this side just _might_ have had enough.
Pound sand, punk. Anything you cowards get, you’ve earned.

  27. God bless you, Dan. In just a few paragraphs you’re perfectly described the national condition. The anger is palpable. Today I heard someone say “It begins with a brick”.

  28. mid state says:

your talking like the threats actually happened? Not an ounce of proof so far. Hoyer and his fellow Democrats are lying sacks of sh*t. Why would they stop lying now? Funny isn’t it that it is democrats and Obama cronies that are the only people talking about violence and possible death threats. Try as they may, they haven’t been able to provoke the tea party people or conservatives. That burns them. Obama has nothing to worry about from us normal folks, it’s his own supporters that he should be worried about, like Farrakhan. The left is the only one with a pattern of violence

Sure, if any of these fiends did business locally anyway that’s not a union shop or otherwise on the take. Much more effective to pressure local Dems. Any local pols supported this monstrosity? Cut THEM out. Refuse to do business with them. Spread that sentiment.
I’m betting most of the small business owners in any given part of America are Republicans who rightfully hate this bill. So, shut your local Dems out. They aren’t welcome. Make it clear they will not be until the entire bill is repealed.
We control the whip hand here. We need to use it daily until they get the message.

  32. Jabba the Tutt says:

President Kennedy told us “those who make peaceful change impossible make violent change inevitable”.
This quote certainly applies the today’s Congress and the Democrat Party.
Yesterday, Glenn Beck said he had an epiphany based around the question, why were the progressive poking, prodding, insulting the Tea Party people. He said he thought the progressives wanted violence from the opposition. Beck said that the lesson the 60′s radicals, who are now in power, was that the American People turned against the people, who were violent.
So, they want to provoke violence or have the opposition (everyone from elected Republican officials to Tea Party protestors) stigmatized as violent, indeed Beck has been called a terrorist. Then the American People would turn away from the Tea Party and embrace Big Brother, scratch that, LOVE Big Government. It’s not enough that you obey Big Government, you must LOVE Big Government. Everything else is forbidden.

  33. JHE says:

Actual threats against bodily harm is wrong.
Telling your POS House Majority Leader that he is a disgusting cockroach of human being that wants to imprison me for not buying his health insurance isn’t a threat but rather an factual observation.

  34. Fred Beloit says:

One thing we DON’T, DON’T, DON’T want to do is make the Dems in Congress feel like the English commander in 1775, even though the Dems say they are feeling that way at this moment:
“By 1775, tension between the colonies and the mother country had reached the breaking point. General Gage, who was in charge of the British troops in Boston, learned that the colonists had hidden a large collection of weapons in nearby Concord. Gage sent a detachment of soldiers to seize the rebel leaders and destroy the stores of ammunition. Sons of Liberty Paul Revere and William Dawes rode to warn of the impending British attack by way of the Charles River; the most direct route. Just as the sun was rising on April 19, 1775, British soldiers reached Lexington. A straggling line of colonists was already waiting on the green–armed with muskets. Eight Minutemen were killed and several others wounded in the first skirmish on Lexington Green which signaled the beginning of the American Revolution.” (From globalsecurity blog)
NO, NO, NO we don’t want to have anything like that happen, do we. Those SIEU and government union thugs are not as gentlemenly as General Gage’s men were, are they.

  35. Charlotte says:

Great piece…thanks so much, Mr. Riehl.
What a bunch of pansies! They are the ones who taught how to do everything in the book to cheat and whore themselves out to make the USA into their socialist utopia.
Ann Coulter and Rush Limbaugh get more death threats in one day than these dumb bunny congress whores get in a decade.
Count on it, Dims. Celebrate while you can because the patriots are just about to pull the plug on you. Celebrating after totally putting the wishes of the voters in the toilet. YOU ARE SCUM.
Start looking for new jobs, Dims. If you voted for deathcare, you are history. Period.
    Stupid stupak is number one!

  36. planb247 says:

this is satire, right? people can’t possibly be this stupid in actuality, can they? do you all know what democracy is? do you understand that having health care is not a bad thing? and that by opposing people having health care, you are setting yourself up to lose even more seats this November? or is this just the end result of our horrible education system, with millions of moronic wingnuts running around doing violence against anyone that doesn’t agree with them on every little thing?
either you’ve lost your ability to deal with reality, or you never had it to begin with.

  37. Charlotte says:

    Hello, planb…TROLL….
It is NOT a right to have healthcare in this country. It is NOT a right for people to be forced to buy services that they don’t want (abortion comes to mind)
Last time I checked, the USA has the best healthcare system in the WORLD, bar none. The reason we are NOW having problems is due to the government creating Medicare (price fixing by the govt) and Medicaid (for poor people, but now it has become the payer for many, many others than that).
Medicare has dictated the going rate for physician services since RBRVS was created. Medicaid has shorted doctors and physicians on services since its inception.
Tort reform and the free market will take care of healthcare with a few tweaks.
If you want socialized healthcare, I suggest you visit any country in Europe….or say Canada. And where do people who can afford it go for their healthcare in those countries? To America. They sure don’t stay there.
Let’s just see who loses seats this November, troll planb247. Let’s just see. I would wager it will NOT be the Republicans.

Yeah, Iam rather amazed at the width and breadth of the “death threat” meme (now on MSM closed loop/autoplay 24/7).
And it seemed near every example presented, was anything but. I think they’ve cried their last wolf. But don’t put it past them … trying to do some more nasty/dirty deeds, in support of their derangement.
I strongly suggested, many times, it will get worse. Reality is proving me correct. We will beat these bugs. They will not defeat us. No matter how ugly they make the fight. For they have already beaten themselves.

  40. Dee says:

    Mr. Riehl,
The Violence and the Hatred has to stop.
At least now you are stepping up and asking your readers to STOP the threats of violence and the profane language.
Why doesn’t the Right advocate Unity and acceptance?
I think the only resolution is for those attacked to press charges against all those that are identified as committing the violence. I think Cleaver should have pressed charges against those that spit on him. It is clear in the video that the guy in the white cap yelled and spit on him. All you needed to do is obtain the spittle from his jacket.
I think whoever is identified for cutting the gas lines on the Congressman’s brother’s house should be jailed. Whoever through the bricks or hung their congressman in effigy, should be jailed.
The only way these folks will learn and others will learn is to press charges. Then we will have documented proof that those who committed these crimes are all the right wing fringe.
Then and only then will the Violence and pent up rage be stopped. I know the guy who threw dollars at the man with Parkinsons’ disease will not do it again. At least now he learned his lesson.

  41. Dee says:

    Elmo,
I don’t know how you can say all of the violence perpetrated by the Right Wing Teapartiers was not real.
The reprehensible acts by the teapartiers ARE Real and America is Angry at the Teapartiers for committing these despicable acts, including:
. The guy in the white cap spitting on Congressman Cleaver.
. Calling Black Congressmen Ni**er and gay Congressman Fa**ot.
. The banners they carried advocating Violence (if Brown can’t stop it, a Browning will) and Racism (a “colored” President’s head with Hitler mustache coming out of a donkey’s butt; a watermelon patch at the whitehouse; the president as a pimp)
. The person who cut the oil lines at Congressman Pierello’s brother’s house.
. Whoever through the bricks through the several Democratic Congressmen’s windows.
Mainstream America is ANGRY at the teapartiers. You are gaining NO FRIENDS by your unruly and unlawful acts. This is evident in the after the bill Polls. The DAY AFTER the Bill signing: 60% of Americans Favor the Bill and Favor our President. I suggest that the MSM conduct a poll regarding the favorability of the teapartiers. Then we will see what ALL America thinks of them, in detail.
