Big Labor, Obama And Dems Have Big Plan$ For You

Note: Long-time readers know I rarely do fundraising, or blegs, as they're called. As I continue to not seek positions with campaigns, or within the establishment down here to preserve my independence, the blog is self-supporting. Hell, aren't most conservatives? heh! Anyway,  any help would be greatly appreciated, particularly just now. The make a donation button is at top on the sidebar … over there –>

Thanks!

In one of my more informative and important interviews (see 20 minute podcast link below), Brett McMahon of the Associated Building Contractors walks through the real story behind Big Labor, Obama and the Democrats, as well as how it will cost American workers and companies hundreds of billions of dollars if we don't defeat their agenda.

Recent polls indicate unions are out of favor in America today. Why shouldn't they be, what with hundreds of billions of dollars in soon to be bankrupt pension fund liabilities? But Big Labor is in favor with Progressive Democrats, whose campaigns they are now even borrowing against future dues in some cases, to fund. The payback will cost Americans hundreds of billions of dollars in liabilities not ours to cover.

“Favorable views of labor unions have plummeted since 2007, amid growing public skepticism about unions’ purpose and power."

They're paying up to, if not more than $3 million to try to buy Blanche Lincoln's current Senate seat – in effect, financing challenger Bill Halter's entire ad campaign. After buying Obama with money and boots on the ground, it still isn't enough. Now, they're gambling with money all but confiscated from workers for more power because, if they don't get their agenda passed, they will disappear under the weight of their over-promised and mismanaged pension fund fiscal liabilities. They need other American taxpayers and companies to dig them out from under to survive and Obama intends to help them do it.

Three unions had already pledged $3 million to help Halter's campaign.

Obama cut a special deal in his health care bill for what amounts to only 7% of the private sector work force, just as he cut the UAW a deal in the auto industry fiasco, because he knows the money and support will come back to him in 2012. At least, he hopes it does. But we, not the unions, will be footing the larger bill for Democrats supported by union members given marching orders to support progressive Democrats on the ground, as well.

Organized labor groups scored a victory Monday in President Barack Obama's healthcare bill. Obama, in his health bill unveiled Monday, softened the impact of the tax on high-value insurance plans (the so-called "Cadillac tax") that was contained in the Senate's initial legislation.

And that's only the tip of this corrupt iceberg. Spend 20 minutes with this podcast to hear the story the media isn't reporting behind Obama, the Democrats and Big Labor, including the laws and maneuverings they are undertaking to get their hand in the cookie jar to survive after years of fiscal mismanagement. Think of it, SEIU's Andy Stern's own pension fund is headed toward insolvency, yet he warrants a seat on a Federal Deficit Commission?? What a revealing but bad, expensive joke that one is. The podcast won't cost you, failure to understand what's at stake absolutely will.

Next up, below, is a ten minute podcast with Katie Packer of the Workforce Fairness Institute talking EFCA aka Card Check. That's another part of the plan they have. Forced unionization, combined with the Multi-Employer Pension Plan Amendment Act of 1980 – discussed on the call above with Brett, means new companies they target and force to unionize will be on the hook for pension liabilities accrued by existing companies, whose pension funds are now poised to go bust. It will constitute a government supported act of fraud and theft on a scale that makes Abraham Madoff look like a beggar chasing chump change at a DC Metro stop.

That podcast with Katie Packer at this Liberty Pundits link.

With Obama, Big Labor has put all its wishes upon a star, Obama, in hopes of legalized theft to survive. And they intend to cash in with help from the White House. That's why Joe Biden was whooping it up with Big Labor at a swanky Florida resort with union big wigs poised to leave their membership broke as they continue to retire. A short video parody below via Katie Packer and the WFI.

Vice President Joe Biden told the AFL-CIO that the Obama administration will still be able to push through a controversial union organizing bill that has been stalled for the past year and looked all but dead once Democrats lost their 60-seat super-majority in the Senate.

  1. Live Free Or Die says:

Add to that, the push for Shamnesty 2010, to swell the SEIU ranks, and owe their votes to the Dems/O-bah-muhh.

  2. smitty says:

Public sector unions are a mutiny awaiting its moment.

  3. wolfwalker says:

    Okay, I get it.
Next question: what can I do to help stop it?

  4. Dan Riehl says:

Just stay watchful and informed, WW. When the legislation comes up, then it will be time for us to be heard. And we also must defeat as many progressives as we can.

  5. James says:

Virtually all government spending, directly or indirectly, is a transfer of wealth from men to women.
Dan, by calling them ‘progressives’ rather than what they are – leftists – you have already decided to lose the battle to them.

  6. J says:

The Marxist Rot……House of Kennedy 1962
SEIU, AFSCME, NEA, AFL-CIO, Change to Win
take down the public (Soviet) unions and the country will thrive again.

  7. J says:

Why did Andy Stern make 22 trips to the WH in Obama’s first 6 months?
It wasn’t about Card Check….It was about Healthcare legislation.
The SEIU is envolved in the writing of this legislation.

  8. South Sounder says:

“Dan, by calling them ‘progressives’ rather than what they are – leftists – you have already decided to lose the battle to them. ”
Exactly. We also need to stop calling folks on the left “liberal.” They are leftists, statists, socialists, and worse. There isn’t much liberty left within the left these days.

  9. James says:

    South Sounder gets it.
    Most conservatives, unfortunately, do not.
I see the attempts that conservatives make to resist leftists, and I see a pea shooter against steel. Conservatives have no idea how to combat leftists. None at all.
They think that getting a Republican to win an election is a ‘victory’, utterly failing to see that most of the leftism imposed on society is not through the electoral process but rather through the courts via judicial lobbying.
Why does Family Court operate entirely outside of the US constitution (with laws as draconian as in North Korea)? More importantly, why are conservatives acquiescing to this?

  10. guess'd says:

“failing to see that most of the leftism imposed on society is not through the electoral process but rather through the courts via judicial lobbying.”
and through manipulation of public opinion by controlling the premises, images and vocabulary used by the press.

  11. John Calomiris says:

The Big Fix is on the tracks and rolling with OB at the throttle and Stern and goons tooting the whistle.
It is amazing to see how far the tentacles have reached into the very bowels of the government.
And not the least of it is the extent that ordinary Americans have been mesmerized and accepting of the capture of our government

  12. Chester White says:

    Time for a 20,000,000-Man-March-on-Washington.
I don’t think there is any other way.

  13. IP Freely says:

    One of two ways:
A rush of 20 million votes to eradicate the seats of Gov’ment, open the curtains, and let the light of truth in. A great Fall cleaning.
    or.
20 million rifles and enacting the DoI/Constitution, revised…. and 40 million boots to the arses of those whom left us in this state.
I fear its the second option…

  14. Boyd says:

“you have already decided to lose the battle to them.”
“ordinary Americans have been mesmerized and accepting ”
“Conservatives have no idea how to combat leftists.”
So what’s with the “everybody but me is to stupid to see or act in their best interests” meme? That’s exactly the nonsense you will see if you go to The Daily Kos – it’s those sheeple who are the problem. I appreciate Riehl’s call to arms rants as much as anyone (how do you top, “Reconcile this, you distasteful, malevolent little quisling punk”) but this conclusion that we are all doomed because the public is too ignorant to even understand the problem at hand is just plain … ignorant. As wolfwalker said, “Next question: what can I do to help stop it?”. That is not an easy question to answer. If one wants public support, this arrogant omniscience act about the public lacks of intellectual capacity certainly isn’t the way to go about it. What next, you moving to Canada if they don’t wise up? Have a little faith for crying out loud.
