Video: Griff Jenkins, Pence, Melissa Clouthier and Me: Woo Hoo!
Melissa Clouthier and I were watching Griff Jenkins film his report for Fox News when he made it to the bloggers lounge. When the clip popped up, I wondered if the camera might have caught us. Sure enough, screen cap from about 2 minutes in. Sorry, Melissa, you're much cuter, but that's the best I could do.
As for Mike Pence, included in the report, is he running for anything? Oh, yeah! I've run into him a couple times in passing but he wouldn't know me – and certainly wouldn't know me as "Daniel." As he wa coming by me in the hallway a bit later, he read my badge from a few feet off so he could shake my hand and say "Hello, Daniel" when he went by. If that ain't working an event, nothing is. He's been my sleeper for 2012 for a while. So, we'll see, I guess.

This guy sees the Senate as an exclusive club wherein one member helps ensure the continued membership of another. Never mind supporting your own party, values, and beliefs. Pxxs on all that. Solidarity forever.

I was 1st on Pence as my “Darkhorse”, but since I can’t prove it I’ll defer and offer my second. I like what I’ve seen with Pence, unapologetic conservative?-check, legislative experience?-check, grownup?-check, we could do much worse. In fact I like a Pence/Ryan or Pence/McDonnell ticket quite a bit.
