On January 19th, Republicans have our best opportunity in 48 years to take back what Democrats call "Ted Kennedy's seat."

Our Republican candidate, State Senator Scott Brown, is running a fierce grassroots campaign for what is really "the people's seat."

You have an opportunity right now to help get our country back on the path to fiscal discipline and limited government by playing an active part in the special election for the U.S. Senate in Massachusetts.

Scott Brown's common-sense message to cut taxes, lower spending and shrink the size of government is resonating with voters.

This week a Rasmussen Reports poll of likely voters in Massachusetts reported that Scott Brown is closing in on liberal Democrat Martha Coakley to within single digits! One of the most compelling metrics of this survey is that Scott Brown leads Martha Coakley 65% to 21% among voters not affiliated with either of the major parties. This is a str ong statement in Massachusetts where over 51% of the voters are Independents.

Scott Brown is exactly the type of Republican we need to elect to begin the process of restoring fiscal sanity in Washington, D.C. He will stand up to Barack Obama's left-wing tax-and-spend agenda and fight for grassroots Americans like you.

But to win this important election, it is vital we get Republican and like-minded Independent voters to the polls on January 19th. Your support is crucial to Scott's get-out-the-vote operation.

Please visit Scott Brown's website today www.brownforussenate.com/ and make a donation of $50, $100 or even $150 — the maximum amount you can contribute is $2,400. Whatever amount you contribute, please do so now.

The special election is less than 12 days away. I hope to hear from you today.

Sincerely,

Michael Steele
Chairman, Republican National Committee

P.S. The special U.S. Senate election in Massachusetts is the first step in breaking the Democrats' stranglehold on power in Congress. Please help send Scott Brown to Washington, D.C. to fight for you by making a donation to his campaign today. Thank you.

Dan, I got this email at the email box I only use for my site visitors. LOL! Does this mean Steele reads my blog???? hahaha Seriously, that’s interesting to me.

  2. Punkindrublic says:

I can’t contribute, but my wife can and WILL drop a “cash bomb” (well, more like a firecracker) to Scott Brown on the 11th; damned proud to do ANYTHING to break this DNC stranglehold of insanity in DC.

  3. Melvin says:

I went to the site to contribute, but blew it off because it became exceedingly annoying (over 5 minutes) to try and guess what information belonged in which data fields. Who designed that site? No wonder Republicans have trouble raising money. Don’t believe me? Go see for yourself. An 11 year-old could’ve done better.

I have pounded Steele to mush on my blog, but I’ll give him credit for at least doing the right thing in Massachusetts. I won’t even beat him up about the lateness of the hour, because the best chance to win this is to sneak in at the last minute and ambush Coakley.
I’d like to see some NRSC money fly in there at the last minute, though, and I’ve yet to see any reports of big dollars air-dropped into Brown’s campaign…
