Duped By Suzanne Dupes?
h/t Instapundit
So, a Knox County mayoral spokesperson, Ms. Suzanne Dupes, called a blogger's employer to complain he may be blogging during his day job, perhaps as a way of brushing back the blogger over criticizing her boss.
The blog brouhaha began after Dupes, whose husband also works at the ACA, phoned ACA supervisor Rick Bowers to complain that the timing of some of McNutt's posts suggested he was penning his political prose when he was supposed to be working at his day job.
That's interesting, as this seems to be Suzanne Dupes right here on Twitter.
Was she working at 10:41 AM on Thursday when she Tweeted this.
What about on Friday the 17th, when she did her Follow Friday Tweet here at 9:11 AM.
Oh wait, she even has a blog she Tweeted to at 10:58 AM on a Thursday.
Had to blog about these anonymous people thowing (sic) mud on discussion boards…check out Remember the Audience….
Here's her blog. "Remember the Audience"? What a fitting name for a blog for you, Suzanne. Twelve-forty-eight PM on a Wednesday? I hope she was still at lunch.
I hope this is a part-time job. Oops, it looks full-time to me. Honestly, perhaps there is an explanation. Otherwise, the taxpayers of Knox County may not feel their getting their money's worth from Suzanne, they may feel they're being dupes … for Suzanne, … Dupes, that is. Remember your audience. Good blog name, Suzanne. And great advice.
Susanne Dupes is Director of Communications and Media Relations for the Knox County Mayor’s Office. Dupes serves as spokesperson for the Mayor and coordinates internal and external communications planning and campaigns. Since joining the Mayor’s staff in 2008, Dupes has worked to enhance communications programs, including launching the Knox County News community newsletter, On the Inside employee newsletter, (both were cited by the local Public Relations Society chapter), an online newsroom for media and the new Knox Green Team website. She coordinated the publicity campaign for the knoxAchieves program. She also coordinated the very successful Mobile Meals fundraiser and the County’s first celebration of National County Government Week.

Ouch.
That ought to leave a mark, unless she has a granite head.
Poetic justice like this is rare, thank you sir. And for anyone searching for additional irony, I refer you to her blog article, “He and She Messaging” (http://remembertheaudience.blogspot.com/2009/05/he-and-she-messaging.html). It would be delicious to know whether she tested her phone call to ACA with her “gender-opposite” before she made it, and whether his reaction to her message has evolved since the call.
She’s obese. Who would have thunk.
