Big Labor: Knock, Knock – Who’s There?
Would you really want to join a quasi-political organization that already controls your ability to earn, called a Union in common parlance, if you knew that they might assemble their troops to visit you in your home to discuss political matters?
Amanda Carpenter reports on just such an initiative in support of EFCA (Card Check) underway now.
Somehow it just sounds antithetical to a traditional view of freedom in America because the union carries so much clout in a union members life. If for some reason they didn't want you to work- you wouldn't. How is that a basis for a comfortable discussion?
If union workers were so enamored with the organizations that represent them, you'd think they could simply hold an event and members would turn out. Though they'd likely check cards at the door of that, as well.


As I understand it, the only right a Union bestows upon a worker is the right to go on strike.
The studies I’ve read show that Unions increase unemployment rates and decrease overall wages.
Union “mob” bosses need to disappear never to be heard from again. That would send a mesaage.
